The Practical Nutritionist 

Barbara has a Master’s Degree in Clinical Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport’s School of Human Nutrition.    She has also completed advanced post-graduate training in nutritional pharmacology at the Designs for Health Institute.

In addition to her nutritional counseling practice, Barbara teaches graduate and undergraduate courses at the University of Bridgeport.   Her specialties are:  Principles of Nutrition, Nutritional Therapeutics, and Nutrition & Exercise.  Her experience as an educator, lecturer, author and personal advisor enable her to convey and teach complex biochemical and nutritional information to her clients in an understandable way.  In addition, Barbara is a 
Certified Personal Trainer.

As a Certified Transitions Lifestyle Coach, Barbara specializes in group and individual weight loss programs.  Barbara uses her experience and training to offer unique solutions that are particularly well-suited to deal with osteoporosis, diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, hormonal imbalances and a variety of other conditions.

She provides a specialized insight into the use of vitamins, minerals, herbs and nutritional supplements in combination with diet to consistently achieve success in treating a diverse clientele from infants to senior citizens.

Barbara is available to individuals seeking nutritional support for optimal health and wellness, as well as those seeking therapeutic nutritional counseling for specific health concerns.
